Welcome to Sitka's Alaska Days

This is the phrase I will be using a lot for the next week. I thought it would be a good idea to become more involved in the community, so I volunteered for the Alaska day celebration. I greet people who fly in to sitka! I dress up in the period garb and everything. I will post some pictures soon. I have bought this beautiful dress, hopefully it will be here in time for the ball next friday. OH! I almost forgot. It has been snowing its booty off up in the mountains, and there is snow halfway down! It is the second week of October folks. I think I am in for a big suprise this winter. Pray for me. I might not make it out alive!
